Conditions to be considered in the differential diagnosis of congenital atrioventricular block (CAVB) include the following:

  • Heterotaxia

  • Atrioventricular septal defect

  • Cardiomyopathies

  • Metabolic disorders

  • Infections

  • Autoimmune diseases [15]

  • Acquired heart block (surgical)
