Medication Summary

Ophthalmic lubricants without preservatives can be used in the eyes 3-4 times a day to protect the cornea in cases in which evidence of corneal epithelial damage is seen. Surgical intervention in these cases is imminent, and the lubricants only help for a short period of time.
